Eric Rodriguez wins the curriculum innovation category of the Bears Breaking Boundaries Competition after proposing the creation of a course entitled "The Economics and Business Perspectives of Philanthropy." The course seeks to bring the economic and business disciplines together to improve the impact of philanthropy.

BAΨ wins 1st Place at the Citi International Case Competition in Hong Kong
HKUST, Hong Kong
The Fall 2008 Haas Case Competition Team, consisting solely of brothers from BAΨ, wins the 2008 Citi International Case Competition sponsored by HKUST and Citi. The team traveled to Hong Kong on behalf of UC Berkeley and the Haas School of Business to defeat 17 other top universities from around the world. This is the first time Haas has won an international case competition abroad in 10 years.

The Lambda Chapter of BAΨ wins the Outstanding Chapter Award for the sixth consecutive year. The Superior designation is only awarded to the highest performing chapters of over 260+ worldwide.

BAΨ wins the Financial Advisory Services Case Competition sponsored by Deloitte FAS. The team then traveled to Scottsdale, AZ to compete on the national level.

BAΨ wins both the Official Haas Internal Case Competition and Regional Case Competition "Battle of the Bay" against Stanford University and San Jose State University.
